considering the fact that the wt society refuses to release in courts any of it's written directions to elders through confidential letters to elder bodies- i thought i'd do the courts and wt society a "favor " by posting excerpts from this oct 1st.
2012 letter from the wt society to all bodies of elders.
these instructions are very exposing of the negligence of wt authorities in how they view the seriousness of felony child abuse.
You're welcome. And for any lazy people, here is a direct link..

JW LEAKS has published the written submission, and annexures, made by Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia to the "Inquiry into the Handling of Child Abuse by Religious and other Organisations" and dated April 9, 2013.
Included is a copy of the October 1, 2012 Body of Elders letter on the handling of child abuse. This places the letter into public domain and now means it can be shared internationally."
culture of secrecy leaves door open for sex abuse.
"if youve answered a knock at your front door, you mightve had an interaction with a jehovahs witness or two.
this kind of face-to-face interaction is considered public ministry to members of this religious organization.but while this public-facing outreach seems to convey an openness to sharing its message, reveal reporter trey bundy found out what this powerful religious hierarchy wanted to keep to itself.

This kind of face-to-face interaction is considered public ministry to members of this religious organization. But while this public-facing outreach seems to convey an openness to sharing its message, Reveal reporter Trey Bundy found out what this powerful religious hierarchy wanted to keep to itself. He and producer Delaney Hall unravel the web of policy and silence used to hide child sex abuse from law enforcement and allow perpetrators to strike again."
Full investigation:
Documents here(including transcript of Richard Ashe's deposition, Kendrick's letter of introduction and Watchtower memo's) :
i thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.
the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.
the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .
To Mr Lett..
This article by an investigative reporter must be full of apostate lies then?
Or just the facts..?
within the organization, the watchtower has final say over who is considered a serial child abuser.
according to a 2012 watchtower memo: not every individual who has sexually abused a child in the past is considered a predator.
the (watchtower), not the local body of elders, determines whether an individual who has sexually abused children in the past will be considered a predator.

When his case against the Witnesses concluded in October, a judge awarded Lopez $13.5 million, a remarkably large sum in an era of frequent payouts in abuse cases. The decision rested in part on the Witnesses’ refusal to hand over documents in the case, prompting the frustrated judge to ban the organization from making a defense.
The Lopez case was remarkable for another reason. It forced the Witnesses into a rare admission: Somewhere within the organization, there is a trove of documents with the names and whereabouts of known child sexual abusers in its U.S. congregations.
"During the trial, a senior official from the Jehovah’s Witnesses headquarters, Richard Ashe, told Lopez’s attorney, Irwin Zalkin, that the organization had collected and electronically scanned internal documents on decades of known abuse cases. Ashe said that the Witnesses keep their child sexual abuse reports in a Microsoft SharePoint database but that it would take years to extract.."
"Zalkin called in a software expert who testified that by using simple search terms, the Witnesses could produce the information in less than two months, or maybe two days. At that point, the Watchtower simply refused to provide the database."
During Lopez’s trial, Ashe testified that the Watchtower instructs elders that child abuse must be kept confidential.
“And it directs that that should be kept confidential from prosecuting authorities?” Zalkin asked.
“Yes,” Ashe responded.

Watchtower ordered to pay $13.5 million in sex abuse case as Gerrit Lösch fails to testify
"In a remarkable twist to this case (not picked up by the media thus far), it has emerged that Judge Lewis issued a “default judgment” against Watchtower after it refused to cooperate with court orders to present key documents and produce the longest serving member of the Governing Body, Gerrit Lösch, for a deposition."

According to Chaserious's thread, the decision should be made within 90 days (from 14.1.15)
"The panel will issue a written opinion deciding the appeal within 90 days."
